New Friends?

We've been getting around town and figuring things out. Jesse has been making lots of new friends everywhere we go...ladies at the library, kids at restaurants, guys who hold doors open for us...a Barbie and a puppy named Bella! He absolutley loved playing with a dog that was smaller than him! I dont know if Daddy approves of Jesse playing with Barbie...but he loved her anyway. He has also made friends with our friends', the Miskowski's, dog Willy who likes to share his food with Jesse. He can't wait for his friend Lucy (another dog!) to get here though and share her plastic bottles to play with!

There's No Place Like Home!

Jesse, Cillian, and Patrick

helping Daddy :)

hmmm....
After driving from Alabama to Kansas in 2 days with Garret in a 26 ft diesel truck (Sadie riding shotgun of course) and I with expired Hawaii tags, Jesse, and Diva, we made it in one piece to our new home town! We drove to Clarksville, TN on the first day and stayed with our good friends the Clapp's (thanks Erin!). We made it all the way to Kansas City on the second day, and it was only a 2 hour drive in the morning from there to Manhattan. Jesse was GREAT on the road, he cried a total of 1 hour maybe during the total 16 hour drive. The dogs were stressing though...I think they're finally glad to be in one place for now.
We won't close on our home until mid-July so we are staying in temporary Army lodging. It's roomier than I thought it'd be, but not what I would call cozy...it'll do for now.
Here's a few things I've learned in my 2 days here to far: 1. Living in a college town could be way fun, but makes me feel old at the same time 2. It is, in fact, very humid here--darn it! 3. It's not as fun to drive 70 miles an hour when it's actually the speed limit in the middle of no where 4. The thunderstorms are no joke here...scary!

Aquarium

The last 2 weeks have been CRAZY busy! We went to Niagra Falls, NY for a wedding and then to Maryland for a quick visit with the grandparents. When we flew back into Atlanta we stayed overnight so that we could take Jesse to the aquarium there. He LOVED it (we probably loved it just as much!). Our movers come on Monday...I still can't believe we're moving again!

Welcome to our family's website!

Ah yes, here it is...The Fett Files. I can't take credit for the name (thanks Brad), but I thought it was fitting. I plan on updating everyone on our adventures a little more regularly and thought this would be a great way to do that. Now all you have to do is bookmark us on your Favorites and check in on us every now and then (read--I do not plan on sending emails anymore when I update this page!). We always love comments too :)
When Garret deploys in the Spring, I thought this would be a great way for everyone to keep track of him as well! (and for him to keep track of Jesse)
